This is blog run by a engineering student from Melbourne, studying biochemical engineering, but with a passion for history: Naomi. Hi there.

I have long been interested in the history and philosophy of science, especially the role of women in this history. I noticed that in my lectures on these subjects, the content was almost exclusively centred around the achievements of (white) men. There were, of course, exceptions, but not many.

This blog is aimed at sharing stories of fascinating women from around the globe who helped shaped the world we know today. I aim to be as diverse as possible, in both fields of study, and the women I focus on.

Any suggestions for posts would be greatly appreciated, from any field in STEM (I’ll even give you a shout out).

If you have any questions, feel free to comment or get in touch with me via the Facebook page.
